There is a local kickboxing tournament being help on Saturday, 12/21/13. The location os 468 Regal Row, Suite 128. Weigh ins begin at 8:00. the tournament starts at 9:30. $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Equipment required: Full face gear helment / 11 years - 14 years 14oz sparring gloves / 15 years and up 16oz sparring gloves/ Mouth piece / Groin Cup / Instep / Protected shineguards / No elbows or knees.

Big congradulations go out to Amos Costeno, Oscar Lupercio, Christohper Araiza, and Aiden Olivarez on thier promotions today. Amos and Oscar were promoted to Orange Belt. Aiden recieved his yellow. Christopher was promoted to green. I am so proud of each and every one of you. It has been a priveledge to be part of your martial arts journey.

Well guys...The summer has come and gone and Kenny and Josh are back at Texas A&M Kingsville. Hannah has been promoted to Grey Belt in BJJ and received 2 stripes in Judo this year. Our tournament season is coming to an end and December is right around the corner. The TKA banquet is slowly creeping up on us again only this time it's me in the hot seat. Here's hoping that an entire years preparation is enough to pull me through. Here's hoping that all of your initial resolutions have been reached or are close to being reached. Oss!!!

Just a quick reminder kats that we are at the Harlingen Sports Center on Van Buren. TKD is Tues and Thurs from 5:30-6:30 for beginners and 6:30-7:30 for advanced. This is a combat class with emphasis on striking and self defense. Come to Tae Kwon Do...stay for Brazilian Jujitsu with Coach Juan Caballero. See you on the mat!!!
